Looking For Sponsorship.

As a local company, I believe this project of mine, which I have been working on for over five years, may be of interest to you. There are actually some photos here that were taken not very far from your offices and the locations of your current projects.

You can read more about the photographer, Harold Kenneth Hartley, here, but before you move onto there, please read on.

I’m reaching out to see if you can offer some sponsorship or even become the only sponsor of this collection.

It has taken over five years to reach its current state, and there is still a great deal of work to be done to digitise and enhance suitable images for exhibition quality.

What would I need from an only sponsor? £3,000

This would be a great help in covering the cost of the exhibition venue for three months (Manchester Central Library in St Peter’s Square in the heart of the city from December 2025 to February 2026) and would also go a long way in covering the cost of having up to 250 high-quality images printed for the exhibition in sizes ranging from 8×10 to A2 prints.

The cost of getting the collection to its current status has already been great, not just with the purchase of a professional medium-format film scanner but also the cost of website maintenance, various licences for software and the time involved in digitising almost 400 negatives.

I have tried previously to obtain funding through the Arts Council and the National Lottery to no avail.

According to Cipfra, Manchester Central Library received almost 2 million visitors during the year 18/19.
It is the most visited library in the country!

What would you get in return as an only sponsor?

As you can see above and below, the header and footer areas of each page on the website will be dedicated to your banner, although the banner in the footer will only be visible when there is 1/4 or more content on the page.

A dozen prints will be available for your offices and the locations of your current projects, along with information about the photographer, the upcoming exhibition, and the fact that ‘Studio Kashkeel Architecture’ is the exhibition’s sponsor.

Posters naming you as the sponsor placed prominently at the entrance to the exhibition area.

Open six days a week, the Grade 2 listed building was once the largest library in the country. It is estimated that over 5,000 people visit the library every day, which hopefully would increase during the period that my exhibition is to be held, with it being Christmas! This is also around the time that the newly refurbished Town Hall will be reopening.

I will also send you regular updates by email as to how the collection is progressing.

HKH took a series of photos starting around 1924 in and around Manchester. A reason I think you would be interested in this project is that several of his photos are architecturally related. Not just these I’ve uploaded for you here, but there are many more, too. Also, you’re a local company, and HKH was born in Prestwich, and some of his photos were taken just a short distance from your offices—for instance, the Manchester Grammar School, built in 1880 to much acclaim.
