Harold really was in the fortunate position to be able to take these photos of the staff at MGS, never has a more comprehensive gallery of the Masters and nonteaching staff been available before. This gallery includes three images of Douglas Gordon Miller, the high master when Harold attended the school. Miller changed the timetable of the day’s lessons and oversaw the move from Long Millgate in the City to Old Hall Lane at Longsight.

Miller himself had three sons attend the school. David, Harry and Grahame.

The strength and resilience Miller showed during the latter years of his time at MGS is beyond the comprehension of those outside the MGS family.
